Amber is a leader. She takes the initiative to expand her skill set, versatility, experience and knowledge. She has worked each customer service position from the ground up to obtain the full deep understanding of each position’s skill set requirements so she can better lead for each position

I would also like to express how Amber displays expecting exceptionalism as part of her work ethics. There was good reasoning as to why she was selected to work collectively with Eric Vander Pol on the Starbucks account. As noted in the below “she will do it well so that OAKH is represented well” and an example of this is how she has become the main go to contact for everything that is Starbucks! Amber has facilitated the rapport with the multiple levels of contacts at Starbucks, reflecting her networking skills and her commitment to excellence.

Another example of Amber exemplifying our core values is the attentive efforts that she makes to ensure that we are taking care of the customer. She lives this core value as when she works on a team project, show owns it! Taking another high-profile company account into consideration, we have recently worked with Grainger on a service related reporting project. Once again, Amber has facilitated rapport with the Traffic Manager with her detailed follow through. This has instilled their confidence with OAKH. She does this with consistency and as noted below, because they know she will respond to them timely and provide an explanation with detail.

All of that noted, I would like to touch base here on how Amber displays the family comes first core value. She shows this by always giving a hand to any and all OAKH family members whenever needed. She makes it a practice to train her team and all others, that we are all of the Oak Harbor Family. Understanding that this display not only encompass the Terminal personnel, as this practice of support repeats itself throughout our entire company. From our team members at all levels – at the corporate offices to our Safety Manager, Tom Mueller, who still requests her assistance for support. In closing I would like to note that I have mentioned on multiple occasions, that I believe Amber is a future leader of this company. I also believe that we are all very blessed to have her as part of our family and I am very proud to support her for this prestigious award.
