Retirement after 27 Years of Driving!

Reno Line Driver, Martin Gardner, retired at the beginning of February. Martin was with Oak Harbor over 27 years in which he achieved 25 years of safe driving!

Martin started with Oak Harbor when the Reno Terminal was still in its “infant stages” working out of a very small dock in Sparks. In 2013 he was named the Nevada Master Truck Driver by the Nevada Trucking Association.

Martin spent the majority of his Line Driving career navigating US 395 in northern California between Reno and Klamath Falls/Portland.  

In attendance for his retirement ceremony were District Manager Jody Silva, Terminal Manager John Russell and Operations Manager Randy Johnson. A taco feast was provided prior to Martin receiving his retirement watch.

Martin will be remodeling is house and para-gliding now that he has all of that free time!
