This is our first effort to share what the Learning & Development team is up to. Our goal is to share at least once per quarter, if not more often. This article will be more of a full-scope update; you can expect to see more topic-specific articles from Adam, Tom, and me, going forward.

Our new Learning Management System (LMS) launched February 3rd of this year. We are bringing all employees’ regulatory and compliance modules and records up to date. Once that is complete, we are hoping to roll out reinforcement programs, gamification, competitions, and rewards as ways to bring useful behavior change to all corners of the business.

As these additional tools are released, we will begin seeing robust learner data based on quiz scores and learner confidence scales; this information will help coach employees as well as prove useful as we begin implementing Succession Planning across the business.

Focusing primarily on Driver-related training, Tom and Adam are working hard on both updating existing modules and creating new modules where needed. We have more than enough work to keep busy for more than 24 months on this subject alone.

So far, we’re averaging ~35% participation in Axonify in an ongoing 30-day period. A few examples of current projects Tom and Adam are working on include:

    • W&R Dock Process Training (Tom and Daniel Coffey)
    • Customer Experience Bring Back (BBC) Codes (Tom and Kara Smallwood)
    • Updates to Driver Orientation (Adam, Safety, and Driver Trainer SMEs)

Lastly, we would love to hear from you how this new platform is working. If you do have feedback, training requests, or really anything else you want L&D to be aware of, please send us an email at ohu@oakh.com.
