2025 DVP Sales Excellence Award Winners

The David Vander Pol Sales Excellence Award represents the highest standard of sales performance at Oak Harbor Freight Lines. Named in honor of DVP, whose passion for sales and customer relationships left a lasting mark on our company, this award recognizes individuals who consistently deliver results through discipline, persistence, and a commitment to growth.

The 2025 competition was highly competitive across all regions, with strong performances throughout the year. Ultimately, five individual contributors rose to the top, with the top two clearly separating themselves through sustained execution and exceptional new business results.

These winners exemplify what this award stands for: Driving new business, expanding existing relationships, staying ahead of renewals, and capitalizing on lead opportunities that put more freight on our trucks.

While this is a sales award, sales success at Oak Harbor is never achieved alone. Every on-time delivery, accurate invoice, safe operation, and positive customer interaction strengthens our ability to grow. Our drivers, dock teams, operations, and support staff are critical to our ongoing ability to get sales wins.

That belief is shaping the future of this award.

Looking Ahead to 2026

Beginning in 2026, the DVP Sales Excellence Award will evolve to reflect a more holistic view of sales excellence. In addition to new business growth, the program will place greater emphasis on account management, profitability, and long-term success, all in alignment with our company’s goal to improve profitability without sacrificing service or safety.

We are also expanding how opportunities are identified, including a new tool that allow drivers to quickly share sales leads through their handheld devices. This reinforces our belief that “the strength of the Pack is the Wolf, and the strength of the Wolf is the Pack!”
