Annual Engagement Survey
It Works

We kicked off our annual engagement survey on March 16th.

Thank you to everyone who has already taken time to complete it.

I wanted to share some examples of what open, clear, and specific feedback on the surveys can help us with improvements to our Terminals and processes. The 2025 survey was reviewed by Leaders at all levels in the company.

The Auburn leadership team was able to turn the feedback into actionable items in 3 locations.

Bremerton

One of the main concerns raised was the condition of the terminal. We were able to get repairs made on a wall and the roof, upgraded/added new doorknobs from the office to the dock, repaired the HVAC system and upgraded our janitorial services.

Auburn

Employees shared that they wanted more focus on safety, career growth and learning, communications and leadership skills training. The team has focused on getting Driver Trainers more involved with safety subjects, projects and materials.

They have continued to offer cross-training for Supervisors, Leads and Driver Trainers to help with career development. To improve communications more in depth, quality meetings that cover both terminal and company specific subjects are being held.

And lastly, there has been a focus on providing training to Managers, Supervisor and Leads to help them understand how to be more empathetic, stay neutral, and treat all employees equally. This type of focus happens when we get honest feedback from our Employees.

Olympia

The Employees shared concerns around communication, trust and learning opportunities. Leadership added communication boards in the office and breakroom to share important company information.

To build more trust in leadership we coached front line Supervisors and gave them the support they need to be able to handle day-to-day situations. Offering opportunities for frontline Supervisors, leads and back-ups to continue learning has helped with their growth and ability to make decisions on their own to keep the business running.

The survey will be open until midnight March 27th. Your honest feedback is what will help us improve.

While we cannot fix every single item that is brought up on the survey, we can tackle the most impactful items in an effort to create a positive and productive work environment for everyone.
