Randy Johnson Retires from Oak Harbor

On March 13, 2026, Randy Johnson retired from Oak Harbor after 19 ½ years.

Many of us had the opportunity to work alongside Randy and share in his many ideas surrounding culture and teamwork and how and why to implement change for the betterment of the team and Oak Harbor.

Randy wore many hats during his time here at Oak Harbor from Operations Manager to Terminal Manager and he was the Ops Manager for both Sacramento and Reno at one point.

We can truly say it was a joy to work with Randy over the last 19 ½ years. To celebrate his time here at Oak Harbor we had a luncheon at the terminal for all the team members to enjoy and we had few retired employees return to celebrate along with the team. That evening we took in a Knight Monsters hockey game which turned out to be a very exciting time as the Knight Monster mustered up their first win in the last 14 meetings.

Robert Rosales was in attendance and showed off his skills of turning many of the attendees into Superhero’s on one of the AI apps.

Eric Vander Pol and Dan both spoke of Randy in the highest regard as they addressed the team.

We shared many laughs and stories throughout the day

Thank You Randy!

At the event Randy and his wife Heather shared the evening with Eric and Dan Vander pol, Kevin Kellermann, Jackie Knox, Robert Rosales, Joe Cook, Kris Larson, Tom Sanchez, Tom Miller, Jason Threlfall, Joel Spencer, and Jody Silva.

Randy will be missed though according to Heather he has many projects that he will be completing while in retirement and he has Bee hives to attend too.

Again, we thank Randy for his dedication and commitment to Oak Harbor Family.
