March 2021 – Embargo Update
To Our Customers,
The mission at Oak Harbor Freight Lines has always been and will always be to Bring Peace of Mind to its customers and employees. Sometimes, proving Peace of Mind means making tough decisions in order to ensure the quality service we provide can be maintained. Currently, the entire transportation industry is seeing record shipment counts and volume being moved throughout the country, and if these volumes are not managed correctly, can put a strain on the entire operation. This would not provide anyone Peace of Mind. In response to this current situation, we are putting an embargo on shipments that meet any of the following criteria effective Tuesday March 23rd and until further notice:
- Shipments originating in CA/NV that occupy over 12′ of trailer space.
- Shipments originating in CA/NV that are 10,000 lbs or greater.
While we understand the difficult circumstances this creates, we see this is a necessary adjustment to maintain the levels of service our customers expect of us. We will be monitoring this situation closely and will let you as soon as this embargo is lifted. We appreciate your business and support.
