On February 15th, P&D driver Larry Eidal hung up his Oak Harbor uniform after 36 years surrounded by his wife Linda,
coworkers past and present and co-presidents Eric and Dan Vander Pol. Larry started with Oak Harbor in 1988 as a P&D driver here in Auburn. Larry wore multiple hats during his tenure, originally starting as a P&D driver, and then became a city dispatcher for a period time when the terminal needed him most, then transferred back to being a P&D driver for the next 20+ years delivering in the Tacoma, WA area. Larry even became the 2nd member of the 25-year safe driving club here in Auburn in 2023 getting his own tractor. Larry was always the driver that showed up for his shift with a bright and sunny disposition on the day and always put in 100% effort to ensure that he was doing his job to the best of his abilities helping his customers and his fellow co-workers.

He is looking forward to retiring with his wife and moving down to Arizona to help raise their racing horses and enjoying the sunshine and maybe a little bit of travel. Larry’s wonderful personality and work ethic will be greatly missed here in Auburn, and we wish him nothing but the absolute best in his retirement!
