KUDOS: Joe Katzberg

Tawnya was driving a dump truck, went over a hill and when she crested the hill there was a car stopped. The road was icy, she attempted to stop in time but went sideways into a Toyota Tacoma. One of our Oak Harbor Freight Lines Drivers, Joe Katzberg, was driving behind Tawnya and witnessed what had happened. He immediately called 911 and went to the Toyota to help. Inside, he found a young boy in a car seat as well as his older sister and mother. Joe took the boy with the car seat out and checked on the mother and her daughter to make sure they were OK. He did all this while calming down Tawnya. He put out his triangles and proceeded to take all safety precautions for other traffic. When the police came, he gave them a report. Tawnya called our Customer Service team to send over her kudos for Joe. She was very grateful that Joe was the one behind her on the road because he was very professional, calming and kind during a stressful situation.
