I wanted to share these kind words from a POR P&D Driver that recently retired. He has moved back to Puerto Rico to spend his retirement years.
Just the most solid person you could ever meet, and he always recognized the efforts the company goes to in regards to Employee/people care.
He will be greatly missed.

I want to take a moment to sincerely express my gratitude for the way Oak Harbor Freight Lines (OHFL) has consistently shown care, understanding, and a willingness to support me, not only as an Employee, but as a person.
Throughout my time here, there have been several meaningful moments when OHFL extended patience, compassion, and thoughtful consideration. Whether it was during personal challenges or times I needed extra understanding, the Company didn’t hesitate to offer support. These actions have left a lasting impression on me, and they reflect the kind of values that make OHFL stand out.
Being a family-owned company brings a unique dynamic, one where relationships matter, and people are seen beyond just their roles. Like any family, disagreements or tough days may arise, but what remains constant is the care for one another and the desire to see everyone thrive. That kind of environment is rare, and it’s something I truly value.
I also want to acknowledge that no organization is perfect, but what matters deeply to me is that OHFL is open to feedback, willing to listen, and actively working to evolve. That kind of openness makes me feel heard and respected, and it gives me confidence in the Company’s future. Though I have retired and begun a new chapter in life, a part of my heart will always remain with OHFL. The care, support, and sense of family I experienced here have left a lasting mark on me, and my gratitude and affection for this company will endure for the rest of my days.
