The Spokane Terminal had a Retirement / Going Away Party for Linda Whelan on March 24th with customers and employees. The Chaplain Team, who service the Spokane Terminal, helped with the BBQ.

Is Linda retiring? Not just yet. She is going to work remotely doing Sales for Spokane until a replacement is found. She will be at the terminal one week per month to check in on customers in person.

Linda has been working for LTL Transportation for over 45 years. She has been a Terminal Manager, Operations Manager, Sales, Customer Service. All her brothers and sisters are in some sort of LTL Industry as well. She started working in Spokane for Oak Harbor Freight Lines in 2019 and has successfully grown her Sales area each year.

The turn out for the BBQ included 40-50 customers that wanted to say, “Thank You and Goodbye.” Linda could be working remote from another country and her customer base will always be loyal to her. She sells service, not price. Her follow up with customers on delayed freight or any issue that arises is admirable. She always picks up the phone at 7 p.m. when a customer frantically calls with a problem. This is what makes her customers love doing business with Oak Harbor Freight Lines and Linda, and why the Spokane Terminal adores having her as a Team Member.

Thank You Linda!
