Silver Leaf Award: Jaylen Thomas

On September 12^th Jaylen, while at work, observed a fellow dock worker having a medical event resulting in incapacitation, Jaylen immediately took action and rendered medical aid.  Jaylen’s efforts kept his co-worker alive until paramedics arrived and took over.

Jaylen is a 5- year Marine veteran. When asked about his efforts he stated he just fell back on his training and life experience when he saw is Co-worker in distress. For his life saving efforts Jaylen was awarded the Oak Harbor Silver Leaf award and a gift from the Vander Pol Family thanking him. 

Jaylen received his awards from Corporate Engineering Manager Joe Cook, at morning ceremony, in the Salt Lake City Terminal.
